Monthly Lunches

When it was first established, the Gascogne Ladies Club was known as the Ladies Lunch Club. Since then, although the Club has grown and offers other activities as well. We continue to meet, usually – but not exclusively – on the second Tuesday of each month, at different restaurants in the Gers.

Members receive an invitation by email, with the details of the restaurant, a choice of menu and a booking form.

We (i.e. the restaurant of choice) try to accommodate women with special dietary requirements, although you may have noticed that a vegetarian option is quite rare in the Gers.

The monthly lunches are an excellent way to meet new people of course. And if you would like to recommend a restaurant, please send an email to bonjour@gascogneladiesclub.com.

Summer Barbecue

One of the highlights of our calendar – a Summer BBQ at Betty Beef on Tuesday, 7th July at 12.00 noon.

This popular event is open to partners and guests, making it a perfect opportunity to share the occasion.

Set in the beautiful Gers countryside, Betty Beef offers stunning views from its terrace, where we will gather for a relaxed afternoon. The beef served is raised on the owners’ farm, visible from the restaurant, and a fish option is also on the menu.

We will have exclusive use of the restaurant, ensuring a relaxed and private atmosphere for a long, leisurely afternoon.

This year, we are also adding a little extra atmosphere with live jazz music from Gers Side Groove, who will play as guests arrive to help set the mood for the afternoon. They’ll return after lunch too – so if you feel inspired, you are very welcome to bring your dancing shoes!

As in previous years, the raffle promises to be one of the highlights of our summer event, with prizes generously donated by artisans and businesses throughout the Gers.

This year, a portion of the raffle proceeds will be donated to Cancer Support France, a very worthy cause.

Come along and enjoy some good food, a glass of wine and some great conversation…. and you might win a lovely prize in the raffles that are held at almost every event. At our June lunch in Condom we had five such lucky ladies. Congratulations! Both buying raffle tickets and supplying gifts as prizes are greatly appreciated. They help raise funds for the little extras at our events, and contribute to the warm and welcoming spirit of our lunches.
